Where do I start?

• When you are ready to customise a Sky bundle and switch from BT, simply select one of our offers and complete your order online.

How do I claim my eligible offers?

• Any subscription discounts are applied automatically. Vouchers and Sky rewards have to be claimed within 90 days of your Sky services being activated (unless otherwise stated). To claim your reward, simply login or create your Sky account here » and follow the instructions.

How long does it take to switch?

• Sky takes up to 2 weeks to install your services (average of 6 days).

Should I inform BT?

• No, not if you are out-of-contract. Sky will handle your switch and talk to BT on your behalf. It is important not to cancel your services before you make the switch to Sky. This is because an active line can be transferred – so you can avoid the additional line activation fee of £20. Plus, in most cases you can also keep your number if the line is still active. If you do switch before you are out-of-contract, BT will inform you if there are any early cancellation fees payable. However, there will be no cost incurred if you are outside of your contract.

Then what happens?

• After you have checked-out of your Sky basket and placed your order, a Sky engineer will be in touch to confirm your Sky TV installation date. You have a choice of dates when you check-out online, which means you can pick a day that suits you.

Switching Broadband services?

• Sky will send you your FREE wireless WIFI router in the post (just a £9.95 deliver fee payable). You will be given an easy step-by-step guide to self install your new router. Sky will then take care of your broadband activation from their end. Please note, while ‘Sky Broadband Unlimited’ (fixed line ADSL service) activation is free, ‘Sky Fibre Broadband’ services (Fibre-optic broadband) are subject to an activation fee which currently costs £59.95 (see current promotions.)

Switching phone services?

• You may have an inactive line which the Sky Switch team can activate for you. If not, Sky can install a brand new line (price for set-up is approx £20.00). If you are switching or activating an old BT line, (also applicable to TalkTalk and Plusnet customers switching) – in most cases you can keep your old/existing phone number.

• Yes, Sky offer three comprehensive call packages (known as Sky Talk) which are available alongside Sky TV, Broadband and Talk or standalone Sky Broadband and Talk bundles.
