What is Sky Stream?
Sky Stream allows customers to stream Sky TV services without a satellite dish. The Sky Puck is a palm-size digital set-top box, which receives a customers’ Sky TV subscription via a WIFI or fixed line signal. The Puck is both HD and Ultra HD ready and has the ability to rewind live TV.
What are Sky Stream contract options?
Sky Stream TV is available in 18 month and 31-day rolling contracts. While the short contract offers flexibility for those who need it – it is cheaper to join with the 18 month contract. Uniquely, all Sky TV packs are available on a 31-day contract. However, Sky Broadband remains on a fixed 18 month term.
What can I watch with Sky Stream?
Customers can watch the full range of Sky TV services and packs including multiroom with Sky Stream.
What is the difference between Sky Stream, Sky Glass & Sky Q?
Sky Stream sits between Sky Q and Sky Glass. The service is aimed at those customers who want flexible contracts – and unlike Sky Q – those who do not require the ability to record and store content (as there is no on-board storage). The service is also ideal for those who are not looking to buy a new TV (like with Sky Glass).
What are the minimum broadband speeds requirements for Sky Stream?
Stream in:
SD – Standard Definition (SD) = 1.5Mb/s
HD – High Definition (HD) = 5Mb/s
UHD – Ultra High Definition (UHD) = 30Mb/s
Can I order Sky Stream without Sky Broadband?
Yes, Sky Stream is ideal for those customers who may already be in-contract with another broadband provider – with the option to join with or without Sky Broadband on a shorter term Sky TV contract. However, you can also join Sky Q or Sky Glass with or without Sky Broadband.
Which Sky Broadband services are available with Sky Stream?
All Sky Broadband services are available with Sky Stream. However, products and speeds vary and are dependent on customer location. Sky Superfast services are widely available in the UK. Sky’s FTTP Full Fibre services are currently; Ultrafast 145mb (32% of the UK population), Ultrafast Plus (24%) and Gigafast (24%).
I already have Netflix, what happens?
You can keep your current Netflix Profiles and seamlessly switch. Sky handles your entire switch so you are not charged twice. To get started just follow the steps when first setting up your Sky Stream Puck. Sky will take over your subscription until you cancel your services – at which time you have the option to switch back to a standalone Netflix subscription.
What is Ad Skipping Add On?
The Ad-skipping Add on pack is normally £5 p/m (see current promotions). This pack allows you to fast forward through adverts.
What is Live ReStart?
Included as standard, Live ReStart enables customers to do just that – jump straight to the beginning of a programme so you don’t miss a thing.
Is the Sky Stream Puck remote voice activated?
